We have 4 board positions opening for term April 2026 - March 2028.

1 Assistant Treasurer

1 Secretary

1 Assistant Secretary

Eligibility

Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

Candidates should have the following attributes and values:

Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.
Strategic thinking and hands-on attitude.
Passion for women’s wellbeing and mental health.
Advocate for creative art.
Commitment to the mission, vision and sustainability of the organisation.

For Treasurer/Assistant Treasurer positions:

Background in finance and accounting is preferred.
Knowledge of governance and compliance matters, including directors’ fiduciary duties.
Experience working with or serving on nonprofit boards is preferred but not required.
SID director accreditation is preferred.

Attendance at quarterly board meetings (mainly virtual unless otherwise discussed).
Active participation in committed board duties, particularly annual returns submission.
Occasional involvement in special projects, consultations or initiatives, as needed.

For Secretary/Assistant Secretary positions:

Background in legal and human resources is preferred.
Knowledge of governance and compliance matters, including directors’ fiduciary duties.
Experience working with or serving on nonprofit boards is preferred but not required.
SID director accreditation is preferred.

Attendance at quarterly board meetings (mainly virtual unless otherwise discussed).
Active participation in committed board duties, particularly managing constitution updates, membership status, Annual General Meeting notice and minute taking, and facilitating annual returns submission.
Occasional involvement in special projects, consultations or initiatives, as needed.

While previous board directorship experience is helpful, aspiring directors with relevant skillsets and directorship training are welcome to apply.

Welcome to Mama on Palette – Singapore's first community dedicated to mothers who cherish the beauty of art and creativity!

For years, we have empowered hundreds of mothers to reconnect with their artistic passions, showcase their talents through exhibitions and events, and build meaningful connections within a vibrant network of over 1,000 art practitioners, hobbyists, and enthusiasts.

Alongside our inspiring members, we’ve fostered partnerships with esteemed organisations like the Singapore Kindness Movement, Singapore Fashion Council, Singapore Council of Women's Organisation (SCWO), The Red Pencil (Singapore), National Library Board, Beyond the Label by NCSS, Mums for Life, and Ray of Hope. Our work is featured in global media outlets such as DW International, CNA, The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao and The Asianparent.

As a registered society (UEN: T23SS0051F), Mama on Palette is shifting away from paid memberships and sponsorships, making volunteering, community partnerships, and sustainability the heart of how we operate in the coming years.

Becoming a volunteer with Mama on Palette is more than just supporting our initiatives. It is an opportunity to make meaningful connections, hone your skills, and be part of a nurturing community that celebrates the transformative power of art.

We prioritise volunteers who have worked with us before and shown dedication, often contributing 2–4 hours weekly over the course of a year. However, we warmly welcome new faces to our community! If an opportunity matches your skills or interests, we’ll be in touch to arrange a conversation.

Please note that our volunteer opportunities are open exclusively to Singapore-based individuals.
