I've always loved teaching kids and could not wait to have my own to try out fun art activities!
Hi I’m Aashika. I graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Lasalle in 2012. I moved back to Mumbai, and had been working at a museum as a curator and designer in Mumbai for 6 years, but I had to resign when my husband got a job in Singapore in 2018. Alongside the museum job, I was a freelance graphic designer and conducted art classes for kids. I've always loved teaching kids and could not wait to have my own to try out fun art activities!
On a trip to Barcelona, my sister and I chanced upon the art of mosaic purely for fun. But one commission in Mumbai led to another and we had our own business where we transformed the craft of mosaic into unique artworks.

When we moved to Singapore, I found out I was pregnant. This period of time where I was pregnant and unemployed gave me time to focus more on my passion - mosaic! And it was the last thing I did before I went into labour! After giving birth, I felt that the mosaic was therapeutic for me, and at the same time - since I do it from home, the timing is flexible and I don't miss out on my daughter's childhood at all!

Currently, I can't resist making her do all things messy and arty and am happy to do it for anyone else who is up for it!
