Alka Chandiramani is a mother of two grown up boys, one who is 24 years old and the other 20 years old. With over 30 years of experience in the legal profession, international global mobility & talent management, passionate about transforming the way we think, enhance collective intelligence & achieve optimal results. From years of research & a catalyst in cultural neuroscience with the most recent development in social and cognitive neuroscience, she aspires to bridge the depths & nuances amidst intercultural leadership competencies. 

 

Born and brought up in Hong Kong, she speaks fluent Cantonese. She stepped back from full-time employment as Global Mobility Specialist after motherhood with Nortel Networks Corporation (Nortel). She has been in Singapore for 19 years and over the last year has rekindled her passion from 30 years ago – creating art on canvas which has been an absolute delight! 

 

Entering the phase of being an empty-nester, the vibrance of colours with inspiration from nature has been filling up the rooms in the absence of having screaming boys around!

“One of the inspirations I have right now would be to have an art exhibition where the proceeds raised would go to the Children's Cancer Foundation. In addition to that my motivation is to work with communities to make a difference through my creativity in the arts.” Juggling her busy schedule with the multiple hats she wears, Alka devotes her time to help Mama on Palette with legal advice and insights.
